Ginger and BJ
Carlisle’s Carriage Company, established in 2003, provides horse drawn carriages for a wide variety of events such as weddings, cookouts, birthday parties, proms and home comings, corporate gatherings, community events, surprise proposal engagements and holidays. Based in Chesterfield, VA, Carlisle’s Carriage Company had provided services in the surrounding counties as well as Washington, DC, Wintergreen Mountain, Colonial Williamsburg and the Elsing green, Berkeley and Westover Plantations.
We can accommodate personalized carriage requests to meet your needs and
make your occasion special through choice of:
Dress: We offer Victorian or Colonial attire. Colonial attire is offered
in forest green or classic burgundy. Victorian attire includes a black top
hat, bowtie and tuxedo.

Decoration: We offer floral garlands, a “Just Married” Sign, Christmas bells,
white or holiday themed bows and ribbon.
Time of Day: We offer night time lighting from brass antique lanterns with
traditional candles for an authentic ambiance.
Carlisle’s Carriage Company takes great pride in its work and is committed to exceeding its customer’s expectations. All horses and carriages are professionally cared for and maintained on a 5 acre farm. We rely on generating business through “word of mouth” advertising and would be happy to provide referrals and testimonials from previous satisfied customers. Our seasoned and professionally trained horses, Ginger and BJ, have a well rounded resume that includes the following events: Commonwealth Polo Cup, Strawberry Hill Races, casual horseback riding and even driving Santa around town on Christmas morning. Both horses have many years of experience driving a carriage. Ginger and BJ demonstrate hard work and discipline for all outings whether it is a casual ride around the neighborhood or an all day event for a company picnic.
